Swapping the previous 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine for a brand-new 2.4 L engine, the new 2022 Toyota GR 86 (GR stands for Gazoo Racing, Toyota's motorsport brand) now enjoys a fiery 228 horsepower. That’s enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 to 6.8 seconds, depending on whether you choose the standard 6-speed manual transmission or the optional 6-speed automatic.
Like any car that calls itself a sports car, it boasts a very efficient and very powerful drivetrain.

One thing is clear: the 2022 Toyota GR 86 is first and foremost a sports car, and its dynamic silhouette is the clearest piece of evidence!
Standing proudly on 17- or 18-inch wheels, depending on the version chosen, this Toyota sports car features a front end with a prominent mesh grille and long, stylish air intakes.
And it isn’t all just for show: it boasts a functional spoiler and external vents designed to maximize its aerodynamics, making it even more efficient and fun to drive.

This Toyota sedan is sticking to its proven 2+2 seating configuration. Its cabin was clearly designed with the driver in mind, and it is equipped with dual-mode heated front seats, standard sport bucket seats, an 8-inch touchscreen as well as Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, among other features.
