You better believe it! After selling more than 50 million cars worldwide - the all-time record for any brand - the popular Toyota Corolla is adventuring into the world of subcompact SUVs with this brand-new model!
Available in 3 versions, namely L, LE and XLE, the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross features a unique black grille, front and rear LED lighting as well as 17- or 18-inch wheels, depending on the version you choose.
Engine of the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross
The new Toyota SUV is powered by the same engine as the Toyota Corolla S: it’s the 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower.
You can choose between front- and all-wheel drive, and its towing capacity is of 1,500 pounds. That’s significantly more power than that offered by its sedan sibling.
We all know that Toyota is synonymous with fuel efficiency, and the Corolla Cross is no exception with its highway fuel ratings ranging from 7.4 to 7.8 L/100 km, depending on the transmission you choose.
Inside the 2022 Corolla Cross
The spacious interior of the Toyota Corolla Cross offers a power sunroof, dual-zone climate control, rear passenger heating and cooling vents (standard), a 10-way power driver's seat and heated front seats, among other features.
Even better, since it is a subcompact SUV, you'll enjoy more cargo space than with the sedan.
In terms of technology, you could find features such as an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, wireless charging and several USB ports, among others.
Plenty of safety technologies will also be standard on this vehicle.
Pricing for the different versions of the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross has not been revealed yet by Toyota. We expect this information to be released closer to the release date.
